Color Crayons Blanket
Color Crayons Blanket
Pattern Notes 🧶This pattern is worked from the bottom up and turned for each new row. It can be worked as one piece or you can work. the crayons separately and join them (pattern included for doing so). 🧶Left-hand hook holders follow this pattern as written, noting that the ‘right side’ [RS] is actually the ‘wrong side’ [WS] for you. This means when you crochet even rows, you will be able to read the words. If you consult the graph, remember to read right to left on odd rows & left to right on even rows. 🧶This pattern can be made with any weight yarn & hook, but the finished size is approximately 50x63 inches using the yarn & hook listed below to complete a 6-crayon blanket. Crayons names included are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Purple, and Pink. 🧶Yarn & Supplies
  • Amount Per Crayon: 355 yards worsted weight
  • One-Piece Border: 200 yards worsted weight
  • Granny Stitch Joined Crayons + 2 Border Rounds: 500 yards white
  • 5mm Hook
  • Stitch Markers
🧶 This pattern used US Crochet Stitches & Terms 📝This pattern is written in Numerical Filet & a graph of this pattern is also included. The Pattern Graphs can be found in a separate file included with purchase. ‼️ New to Mayhem & Majesty filet patterns? HP Blanket Mod: Hogworts House Names
HP Blanket Mod: Hogworts House Names
⚠️ House Color Striping formula IS included in the pattern, but as an optional DIY modification - this is NOT a fully written out blanket pattern. It is 4 house name panels intended for use in the HP blanket, but able to be used together if you follow the directions to be sure your names all face correctly. ⚠️YOU WILL NEED THE HP MISCHIEF MANAGED BLANKET TO USE THESE LETTERING PANEL MODS⚠️ ⚠️ Pictures are just EXAMPLES using this HP Blanket Mod Pattern AND the original HP Blanket. Pattern Notes
  • You will need the Mischief Managed (Harry Potter) Blanket pattern to use these wording panels as show on some of the cover examples.
  • All the word panels are worked from the bottom up.
  • Make sure to turn the blanket so you can read the words as you work the initial sc edging to set up for the border.
Right Hand Hook Holders
  • Using more than one word in a blanket: Make sure you can read your first lettered panel when you start each following lettered panel.
Left Hand Hook Holders In the pattern, the [RS] rows (odd rows) will actually end up being the [WS] of your finished blanket. This means the words will be correctly facing you when you are working a [WS] row (even row). You can work the panels exactly as written. Just remember - if you choose to read the charts - be sure you read the odd rows right to left, and the even rows left to right, because that is how the numerical rows are written out. Please trust me - it will work.
  • Using more than one word in a blanket: This gets a little hard for me to explain well. Basically, you need to note during Row 1 of ‘your first word which side is the [RS] according to the pattern markings. Then you need to be sure an begin each following word panel with the same side facing you so that each new word will face the same direction as the others.

CUSTOM Filet Lettering Panel Pattern

1 Custom Lettering Panel

This listing is for one (1) custom lettering panel (one word, name, or date) that can be added to any filet crochet blanket pattern in my shop (or any blanket pattern you have that is crocheted in rows - just tell me the stitch width of the blanket). If you would like more than one word/name/date please add more than one of this listing into your cart.
  • This pattern is worked as one piece from the bottom up.
  • Pattern is customized to fit any filet blanket pattern in my shop - but you need to own already, or purchase with this panel, the pattern you plan to use.
  • Your custom lettering panel will come with the numerical pattern as well as the graph and information on successfully adding it into your chosen blanket design at the bottom, middle, or top of the blanket. All lettering panels will be centered in the stitch width of your specified blanket.
    • It is yours to use however you like in projects you stitch - but you may not create/sell/share any patterns which include the word/date/name I created for you.
  • If you are new to numerical filet please read this page to familiar yourself with the method.
  • Left handed? It doesn’t matter - just crochet this blanket as written. My patterns have been tested by left-handed crocheters and this does not effect the lettering panels.
  • Want to use this custom panel in another designer's pattern? Please contact me BEFORE ordering to ensure the stitch width will work.
