F.R.O.G. Lettering Panel (this is a lettering panel ONLY)

  • This is a lettering panel add-on only. You will need the Freddie Frog Mix & Match Animal pattern to complete the blanket shown on the cover.
  • Yarn needed for this lettering panel (DK/8ply/light worsted yarn)-
    • a 4.5mm hook was used to create the sample
    • 520 yards (475 m)
  • Yarn needed to border the blanket as shown on cover (DK/8ply/light worsted yarn)-
    • Initial sc round: 40 yards (36 m)
    • 3 dc rounds: 241 yards (220 m)
    • 3 sc rounds: 46 yards (42 m)
  • Finished F.R.O.G Blanket (shown on cover): 48 x 44 inches (120×109 cm) using DK weight yarn and a 4.5mm hook.
  • Left-hand hook holders follow this pattern as written. When you crochet the even rows, you will be able to read the words.
  • You can add more Freddie panels before working this lettering panel, but please note that this will change which side is the ‘right side’ as you work the lettering. This is not an issue – just be sure you can read your words when you go to begin the initial sc edging. You will also need more bordering yarn than is specified above it you make a larger version.

  • The “Elephant Love” blanket is an advanced pattern in terms of Numerical Filet because the pattern is NOT a simple block repeat. Please be sure you understand the Help Guide on page 4 before you start.
  • These patterns can be worked with any weight yarn and gauge is not important.
  • Yarn amounts are given for three different projects:
    • The NEW 2022 version of the Elephant Love Blanket using DK weight yarn with a finished size of approximately ~40x45 inches. 3 elephants wide by 5 high. Each panel is ~9 inches high.
    • one “Just Elephants” block - which can be used to calculate yardage for an “elephant only” one-piece blanket. Multiply the yarn for one block by the number of elephants you want in your blanket. One elephant repeat is ~16.5 x 11 inches using aran yarn and a 5mm hook.
    • 10% yardage has been added to my measurements to help ensure you have enough yarn to finish your project.
  • “Elephant Love” can be increased/decreased in multiples of 55+61 stitches across and 23 rows up to make any size blanket.

Crazy Daisy Blanket
The Crazy Daisy design is my favorite design I've made - EVER! This listing includes TWO pattern options- Choose from a paneled blanket OR Daisy filet blocks turned into Granny Squares. Pattern is written in Numerical Notation and also includes the graph. This pattern can be worked with any weight yarn and hook. Gauge is not important. This pattern can be increased/decreased in multiples of 49 stitches across and 27 rows up to make any size blanket. Paneled Blanket has a finished size of approximately 32 by 42 inches using DK yarn and a 4.5mm hook and the repeats noted. Granny Squared Blanket - flower square measures approx. 10 inches after sc border. With added 3-round Granny portion, square is about 12 inches. The 12-square blanket as shown here measures approx. 43 by 54 inches after joining and bordering.
