April’s Shawl – Spring Vines
Pattern Notes
- This pattern is worked from the bottom up and turned for each new row. It has no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ side and can be worked as written for either right or left hand hook holders.
- Sizing: My shawl on the cover is 22 by 72 inches. Most people will want at least 3-4 height repeats (Rows 17-54) before going to the final 10 finishing rows. A good length to aim for is your height, this works well for most rectangular shawls for wearing wrapped or even as a wide scarf! I am 67 inches tall and I like my rectangular shawls a little longer than I am tall (I use 4 repeats).
- My Gauge/tension: 20 sts by 10 rows is about 4x4 inches (10x10 cm).
- I used one Azalea Cake from the center out, and then the next from the outside-in to keep the gradient flowing correctly.
