My rating is based on my experience “so far”. I just started the blanket. I am new to filet crochet. This is my third project. To date, I have not done any using the grid. I would try it sometime, but have to wonder why whomever created filet crochet would count one stitch as 2. It makes no sense to my mind. I much prefer your numerical filet crochet pattern. I have done with “regular” written instructions and another that used an X in place of a comma. But they all count every stitch as a stitch. Simple pattern for a simple mind. 🙂 Thank you and others who take the time to make the pattern make sense.

      Hi Janine,
Thanks for sharing, especially as a new filet crocheter! I do like to keep things simple and I’m glad to know you appreciate it!
