Hexie Blooms Blanket
Hexie Blooms Blanket
- Complete step-by-step photo tutorial included for making and joining the hexagons.

- Yardage is given (page 4) for a finished blanket that is 33 inches by 30 inches (84 cm by 76 cm) using DK yarn & a 4mm hook

Pattern Notes- Gauge/tension - Not really crucial for this pattern, but for me (using the given yarn & hook size), one Hexie is 3.75 inches (9.5cm) from corner-to-corner and 3.25 inches (8cm) from side-to-side.
- Finished Size - 33 inches by 30 inches (84 cm by 76 cm) using DK yarn & a 4mm hook.
- Yarn - I’ve given the colors and brands for what I used in my blanket, but you can use any DK yarn you like best.
- Variations - This pattern can be worked with any weight yarn and hook, or be made larger by adding another ring of flowers, changing the flower layout, or by adding more background color Hexies. I have included a hexagonal graph (additional PDF file included with purchase) for you to play with color recipes and to help plan out other flower arrangements and larger blankets.

Stitches & Terms Used in this Pattern (US terms) Magic Ring - If you don’t like the Magic Ring: ch4, slst to first ch to join into a ring, then ch1 and proceed with the pattern stitches, working around the ring of chains. Your center hole might be a little larger than mine, but this won’t effect the rest of the pattern. rnd - round st - stitch sp - space slst - slip stitch ch - chain sc - single crochet dc - double crochet Granny Cluster (GC) - 3dc in same st/sp dc2tog - double crochet two together (also called a dc decrease) Bobble Stitch (Bobble) -- Yarn over (yo), insert hook into stitch and pull up a loop. YO, pull through two loops (this is like completing the first “half” of a dc).
- Repeat number one in the same stitch/space until you have a total of 6 loops on your hook - you will have made “half of a dc” 5 times.
- YO & pull through all 6 loops at once.
